We design dinghies. Using reverse engineering techniques and the SurfaceModeler system we tested the geometric characteristics of the boats’ outlines. Then, these surfaces were brought to perfection using the SurfaceModeler software. The outline rigging and processing software was modernized according to digital geometric models. Now our boats are 2 knots faster.

When designing the linear part of the trunk oil pipeline, we used SurfaceModeler to design passages over artificial and natural obstacles. Owing to the ability of SurfaceModeler to control precisely the axis’ curvature we managed to cut the time required to design a passage by nearly half. Moreover, the quality of designed passages became higher. Owing to the smoothness of the axis’ curvature, the hydrodynamic resistance of the pipeline was reduced.
